Texture Mods - Lesson 2.6 Valve Developer Wiki
Transcript
Hello and welcome to lesson 2.6 Valve Developer Wiki of How to Create Texture Mods presented by MLPTF2Mods.com. Despite the developer wiki being more of a resource than a tool that you will actively use in development, it is a resource you will find yourself browsing at one point or another while working with Source content. Should you be trying to make sense of a particular texture’s format choice, needing a specific shader parameter to tweak your material, particles aren’t showing up properly, or you find a QC command you haven’t encountered before. The wiki is bound to have information to shed some light on your issue. Some things might be harder to find than others. It also might be overwhelming to be hit with a ton of information you can’t quite make sense of. Though if you are intent on making your mod work, the wiki can help.
A link to the Valve Developer Wiki is included in the video description or right below the embedded video on our site. This concludes section two, Getting to Know Your Basic Tools. The next lessons in the series will be addressing The Basics for Creating Texture Mods. By the end, we have made a functioning texture replacement for TF2. Hope to see you there.
